My travel makeup bag

Hi everyone, I recently went on holiday so that means I (of course) spent way too long trying to figure out what makeup was going to come with me. I do have my everyday favourites like my mascara and concealer, but seeing as I own way too many eyeshadows and lipsticks it was quite difficult to choose the rest!

I was staying in England so I didn’t have any weight restrictions so I basically took as much as I could stuff into my rather large ‘makeup’ bag (it’s actually a pretty hefty clutch bag but don’t tell anyone….).

Base

» Garnier Skin Perfector Daily All-In-One B.B. Cream

» Touch In Sol Advanced Real Moisture Foundation

» Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

» NYX Studio Finishing Powder

As always I took my Garnier BB cream to use underneath my foundation but it’s also good for lazy makeup days – why don’t more people rave about this? I love it! I’m also still using this Touch In Sol foundation as I like the fuller coverage and is a great colour match for me.

I’ve switched back to an old favourite concealer which is really good at hiding dark circles but i’ve also remembered why I stopped using this as it has glitter in it! It’s only noticeable in direct sunlight but it’s super annoying when time is spent clearing away eyeshadow fall down to still have glittery undereyes…

Cheeks

» Kiko Masterpiece Bronzer

» B.Glowing Shimmer Block

» Sleek highlighter palette in solstice

On second thoughts I probably should have chosen a non shimmery blush as the Sleek highlighters can be seen from outer space but who cares I love a bit of shimmer sometimes!

Brows

» Technic Brow Pencil

» Benefit Ready Set Brow

I’m still using the Technic brow pencil after I did the blog post reviewing the brand. It’s so convenient as it has a brush on the other end too which is great for travelling. I took my Benefit brow gel as well as this stuff is heavy duty so I knew it would keep them in place all day.

Eyes

» Maybelline Colour Tattoo leather Effect

» Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

2u56j44

This Zoeva palette has to be my all time favourite palette. I used it every single day as the colours seem to suit me so well. I love warmer toned eyeshadows best so this was perfect. I love using the 2 warm matte shades in the crease and under the eye. For a bit of extra shimmer I used the cream highlighter from the Sleek palette on the lid too, so pretty!

Lips

Mac ‘Fanfare’

Avon ‘Mauve Matters’

Topshop ‘Innocent’

Lips was probably the hardest choice so I ended up taking a few different options with me. I got the most wear out of the Avon matte lipstick as it’s a bright pinky red which was very long lasting. I also ended up taking the NYX liquid suede in soft spoken which was a lovely nude colour.

So that’s what I took with me in my makeup bag this holiday. I’d love to know what your holiday makeup essentials are!

Loved reading this post! I’ve never seen the Zoeva palette being recommended so I’ll definitely have to check it out.

Also, it sounds weird but I like how you separated the makeup up into different sections, it made it a nice layout and it looks clearer.
