Even though i’m definitely not a gardener, I really see the appeal of this classic range from Crabtree & Evelyn. It’s aimed at soothing and repairing the driest and roughest of hands which means it’s super effective on dry skin in general. It’s the 20th anniversary of the Gardeners range and they’ve released some new products to celebrate.
I love the original gardeners hand therapy hand cream [£8 for 25g tube]; I genuinely cannot believe I haven’t tried this before! The fragrance is a mix of fresh green clover, lavender, sage, rosemary and thyme which maybe isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I think it works well with the theme of the range. For me I think this product is a great staple to have if you’re into handcreams and can provide that extra bit of relief for dry and rough hands. I also do love that this is totally unisex in every way which is an added bonus.
Now onto some newness, C&E have made an exfoliating soap [£10] which is such a great idea. This is a hand soap which contains tiny bits of pumice which help to scrub away any dry skin on your hands. This has that same classic scent as the rest of the range which is made using herbal extracts… (fancy, eh?). Since my hands rarely go anywhere near any soil i’ve been using this to scrub away makeup swatches from my hands which actually works amazingly well. Who’d have thought it!
Crabtree & Evelyn have also released a new multipurpose balm [£9] which can be applied to any areas of dry skin. This feels really nourishing when applied to the skin as the formula contains beeswax and shea butter which not only helps to soothe dry skin but also keep it from going dry again for longer. This is great for areas such as the elbows, knees, cuticles and lips too. It’s worth mentioning that this comes in a 14g tin which is teeny tiny. It’s the size of a lip balm which means although it’s great for your handbag you will go through this pretty quickly if you’re using it a lot!
It’s lovely to try out some products that are a little bit different and maybe not what i’d usually go for because i’ve discovered some new faves which I love using. I definitely want to try out some more from this brand so any suggestions are very welcome!
