For me no makeup look is fully complete without a little bit of eyeliner whether that’s a fierce (and probably wobbly!) liquid liner or a smokey brown pencil. I’ve recently discovered the brand Soul Tree who make beautiful handmade kajal liners and I really wanted to share them with you as they’re just a little bit different from anything i’ve seen before.
The eyeliners come in this nifty lipstick type packaging which i’ve never seen before. I think they are probably packaged like this because the formula is so creamy that it maybe wouldn’t work in pencil form. As I said these are definitely the most pigmented and soft eyeliners I have ever tried. One swipe gives you all the colour you could possibly want which means they are super quick to use too.
SoulTree to me seems like a really interesting company which is rooted in nature which was the inspiration for their products. “SoulTree’s promise is to bring you nature’s goodness with honesty and responsibility.”
The eyeliners are made from carbon black (apparently collected from vegetable oil lamps!), organic ghee, natural mineral colours and organic almond oil. So these are completely cruelty free but not suitable for vegans.
I am loving these at the moment as they are such a pleasure to use. I have two colours; pure black and copper tint which I both tend to use in different ways. I really like the black for the water line and the copper is great smoked out on the upper lash line as it works almost like a cream eyeshadow too.
At nearly £14 these are definitely up there in price but in all honestly I do think they’re worth it. All the ingredients in the kajals are great and organic which is something I want to support. If you’re interested in these you could always just invest in one before splashing out on an array of colours straight away!
I love supporting smaller brands and this one certainly did not disappoint!
