Welcome back! You might have noticed i’ve not posted for a little while; I decided I needed a little break to get my creative juices flowing again. I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things now!

I thought i’d share with you some of the beauty products i’ve been loving recently. As the weather has been a lot warmer in England i’ve had to adjust what i’m using slightly so I don’t end up with makeup smeared all over my face from being sweaty (lovely, right?).

The Sleek solstice highlighting palette [£9.99] is perfect for this time of year when I want glowing, healthy looking skin. When I want a more noticeable highlight this is always what I reach for as it never lets me down. I much prefer the two baked shades on the right of the palette as they are the smoothest and by far the most pigmented.

To apply the highlighter i’ve been using the Spectrum rainglow jumbo fan brush [£19.99]. I really enjoy how this applies product onto the face as it picks up a light amount of product so you’re able to get the amount of glow you want.

I’m honestly so impressed with the Burt’s Bees lipsticks [£9.99]. The formula is one of the best i’ve ever tried (and i’ve tried a lot!). I’ve been loving the shade sunset cruise in particular as it’s perfect for summer. It’s a pink with a hint of coral and I just think it suits me so well. These are also super moisturising and that means you don’t get those little dry patches as you wear it throughout the day.

Also for lips i’ve been using the Blistex intensive moisturiser [£2.50]. I highly rate Blistex as a brand and I love this cherry scent too. I think I have a lip balm in every single pocket or handbag… can anyone else relate??

Essence have brought out lots of new products recently and there’s a couple that have firmly made their way in to my everyday makeup routine. The new volume stylist 18hr mascara [£3] is great as it doesn’t smudge and helps to create pretty, fluttery lashes that have volume too. I’ve also been using the new cushion eyeliner pot loads as it’s super long lasting and really black. I always think that this creates ‘doll’ like eyes that look really big and round and i’m definitely into that.

In terms of brushes i’ve been using the So Eco stippling brush [£8.99] every day for my foundation. It helps to give a lighter coverage to the foundation which is lovely for summer and it also gives that airbrushed look to the skin. I think this brand is great as it’s eco-friendly, cruelty free and affordable too.

I’ve cracked out an old favourite of mine again which is the Benecos beautiful eyes quattro eyeshadow in coffee & cream [£6.95]. This is so creamy and pigmented and is 100% better than any other drugstore eyeshadows i’ve tried. The colour payoff is amazing and I genuinely have no idea why this brand doesn’t get more recognition.

Lastly I haven’t been wearing that much nail polish recently but I have been using the Nail HQ hardener [£6.99]. This is great as it just gives an extra layer of protection against flaking or brittle nails. I definitely have very weak nails that always snap off when they grow past a certain length so i’ve been loving using this to make sure that doesn’t happen!

So those are some of the products i’m loving at the moment. What products are you obsessed with at the moment?
