New Burt’s Bees lipsticks – reviewed

Burt’s Bees for me has always been a brand I can trust to take care of my skin and lips. Recently they’ve been venturing more into makeup and have recently released a range of nourishing lipsticks; i’ve got a couple of shades and i’m here to tell you my thoughts!

First of all, even though they are lipsticks they still have an amazing moisturising formula which cares for your lips whilst providing either a sheer or more bold colour (depending on how you apply it). The finish is slightly shiny as you would expect with such a nourishing lipstick, but it has a slight satiny quality which helps the lipstick to be a bit more long lasting which I really enjoy.

There are 18 shades in the collection so there’s definitely something for everyone and I think most of them are very wearable, pinky nude based shades with varying undertones. I have a baby pink shade called doused rose and a pinky coral called sunset cruise. Both of which I really enjoy wearing and are definitely both ‘handbag’ lipsticks (If you know what I mean…).

The packaging of these looks extremely cute, with the little honeycomb cutout detail on the side revealing the shade of that particular lipstick. It’s good to note the packaging of these is slightly longer than usual, which can make it slightly more difficult to apply as you have a little bit less control. I don’t think it makes a huge difference though and i’m sure most people wouldn’t even notice!

I’m loving these as they don’t dry my lips out and sheer out really well when blotted off a bit which is my preferred way of wearing. These have some great ingredients in like raspberry seed oil and are also 100% natural which is brilliant. They’re also pretty affordable at £9.99.

Burt’s Bees always seem to win over my heart and they’ve definitely done it again with these, they’re a winner!
