Beauty Pamper Routine

As it’s approaching Valentines day I thought it was a good opportunity to show you guys my typical pamper routine; what products I use and tips for some ‘me’ time. Even though my Valentines day this year is going to be spent doing my driving theory test (fun, right??) I know a lot of you are probably going to be going on dates so here’s some things I recommend to help you feel pampered…

I’ve been getting a lot more into candles recently and whether you go for a real one or some fake ones they’re a great way to feel relaxed and also cosy. At the moment I have this one from Cozy Glow which is an amazing lemongrass scent that fills the room when you light it. I’m so into citrus scents so this is perfect for me! This candle is also soy, made with all natural ingredients and completely handmade.

If you’re looking for a new shower gel then AA skincare (I did a post about this brand before Christmas – read here)Β have just released a range of shower & bath gels which smell amazing. I have the cedarwood and peppermint scent which is really refreshing but not too overwhelming which is lovely. Having a shower or bath is a great way to unwind and is also a great excuse to treat yourself to some new products!

I think skincare is super important and a face mask i’m still loving (read my review here) is The Body Shop amazonian acai mask. It leaves the skin feel really soft and also adds a glow too. This is also slightly exfoliating which means it will get rid of any dry skin on your face so makeup goes on better. Β Another skincare product i’m trying out at the moment is the Manuka Doctor bi-phase oil . This is a quick absorbing facial oil that helps to brighten the complexion and even out skin tone. It doesn’t feel oily when applied and sinks in really quickly. I would say that you do need more than the recommended 4 drops (or I did anyway) to cover your whole face but I don’t mind that as i’m seeing great results with this.

To moisturise before makeup i’m enjoying the Soap & Glory speed plump. It’s a lightweight cream aimed at hydrating dry skin. I’m not sure that I really agree that much with the plumping aspect but I think makeup sits really nicely on top of it which is what I use it for. It also smells like orange chocolate which is slightly weird and kind of makes me hungry every time I use it but I think I like it haha!

Lastly it’s always good to have a lip balm to hand and the one i’m using at the moment is the new release from Lypsyl for valentines day (you can read a full review here). They’re untinted and smell delicious so perfect for under lipstick.

So those are some of the products i’m using at the moment to pamper myself, what’s your go-to product that makes you feel great? I’d love to know.
