Revlon ultra HD matte lip colours

Hi everyone, I thought I would share my thoughts on the fairly new Revlon ultra HD matte lip colours that everyone seems to be talking about! The liquid lipstick trend is stronger than ever now, and every single makeup brand seems to be doing their own versions. I’ve definitely tried a few horrific liquid lips but there are a few formulas I like, and I think these Revlon ones are pretty good.

I picked up the shade ‘seduction’ which is the only nude shade in the entire collection. I don’t have a shade like this, and it’s very similar to my natural lip shade which I guess can be good and bad! The good thing is when i’m demolishing all my birthday chocolate it won’t matter too much if it comes off as it won’t be that noticeable…

The formula is (in my opinion) similar to the Borjouis rouge edition velvets that I love so much, you can check them out in more detail in this post. They both are not actually liquid; more of a mousse which is very light feeling on the lips. I do think this shade goes on a tiny bit streaky, and that may be down to the formula being a cream rather than a liquid so you can’t layer on as much product as you could with something like the NYX liquid suedes.

I’ve been loving applying the NYX liquid suede in ‘soft spoken’ (swatches here) and then applying some of this Revlon one over the top. It makes it a little more nude, whilst also being very comfortable and long lasting. A wining combo for me!

This Revlon lipstick has a doe foot applicator which is oval shaped which does make it very easy to apply, and I feel like it has just the right amount of product for one application on the wand when you remove it from it’s tube.

So, for £8-99 I think these are a great liquid lipstick you can find at your local drugstore / high street store! I really want to buy some of the other brighter shades too!

Have you tried these?
