Spring Makeup Look

Hi guys, this week I’ve created a spring makeup look that’s using entirely ‘affordable’ products. I’ve been loving fresher makeup looks recently so I thought I would do my own twist on it.

I always use a primer and this Miss Sporty instaglow primer is doing the trick. It has the slightest shimmer in it meaning it makes your skin look so healthy! This is a great drugstore alternative to some of the very high end glowy primers such as the Charlotte Tilbury wonder glow.

I’ve been loving using the Revlon colorstay foundation. I picked this up recently and the formula is beautiful; it has a light but buildable coverage and a slightly dewy finish on the skin. A win for my dry skin! I like to pair this with a slightly more high coverage concealer, and the ELF maximum coverage concealer is a great option.I use the lightest colour under my eyes to give a brightening effect.  If you haven’t tried ELF before you should give it a go, their products are super affordable!

Keeping it light and fresh, to finish the skin i’m using the tiniest amount of this Topshop cream blush in ‘flush’. These are a cream to powder formula and provide a lovely pop of colour which is perfect in spring.

For eyes you guys know i’m obsessed with the Maybelline cream eyeshadows. This one’s in pink gold and it’s exactly that, a metallic baby pink with gold shimmer. It looks very natural if used lightly or you can build it up for a stronger colour payoff. For me this colour is the epitome of ‘spring’ makeup; light, fresh and pretty. I like to start stepping away from my usual black eyeliner at this time of the year and use something a little lighter such as this Rimmel  brown kohl pencil. This is really easy to use and also great for smudging out. Lastly for eyes I think this Maybelline the falsies waterproof is amazing for curled lashes all day. The waterproof formula makes sure it stays on all day!

To finish off this pinky makeup look I’ve chosen this Maxfactor lipfinity lipstick in a bright pink shade. I’ve swatched this on my hand and this is so beautiful, it’s going straight in my makeup bag to wear asap.

So that’s my take on spring makeup. I hope it’s given you some makeup inspiration for the upcoming season!
