February Faves

Hi guys, it’s time for some favourites! I don’t do many of these but I’ve been obsessed with some beauty / makeup items recently and I thought I would share them with you! Can I also just mention how crazy it is that i’m nearly at 1,000 followers? mad!

♥ Maybelline colour tattoo ‘leather effect’ in creamy beige 98
I have an obsession with these cream eyeshadows. I had a real ‘craving’ (if that’s what you call it) to find a cream eyeshadow I could use as a base, kind of like the MAC paint pots. I came across this one from their ‘leather effect’ range which I hadn’t heard many good things about, but I decided to get it anyway and try it out. I really like it! It’s just a pretty neutral colour with a tiny bit of shimmer that looks pretty on it’s own or is really good for priming before eyeshadow.

♥ Rimmel eyeshadows in brixton brown
I talked about this in a post a while ago where I talked about makeup for newbies which you can find here. I use this pretty much every day and it’s lasted me so well and I can safely say this is probably my favourite eyeshadow palette type product ever. For everyday eyeshadow you can’t beat it!

L’Oreal super liner ‘perfect slim’
Everyone sucks a little bit at liner right? Well I do anyway and this is the easiest liner to use for me. It’s so thin that it’s easy to control, meaning no eyeliner disasters! It’s also really black which I love.

Collection speedy highlighter
For a bit of glow i’ve discovered this highlighter stick from Collection. It was really cheap so I thought I would pick it up and see if it was a dupe for Benefit’s watt’s up. I don’t think it is as the Benefit one is a lot more gold with warmer tones but if you’re looking for a cool toned highlight you might like this one! It would look amazing on pale skin.

L’Oreal colour riche lipstick in 231
This is a rediscovery for me but i’m loving it as it goes with every single makeup look I do. It’s a nude/brown shade with a hint of shimmer that’s not very noticeable once on the lips. It’s quite glossy and not heavy at all so it’s perfect for everyday!

Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge
I’m loving makeup sponges in general at the moment but especially this one from Real Techniques. I use it for foundation and concealer and helps to make sure everything is blended properly and also gives you that airbrushed look.

So those were my Feb faves! What’s your fave product been this month?

I have the Maybelline colour tattoo in Vintage Plum and it is actually really good. Also I’ve just discovered that the Seventeen palettes have a mixture of cream and powder in them! – Jess x
