Soap & Glory Makeup

Hello everybody, I really wanted to do a post on Soap & Glory’s makeup as I think it’s a really great and affordable brand! I’m always slightly skeptical when skincare and bath and body brands decide to do makeup as you never think it’s going to be as good, but S&G have nailed it!

I love the packaging of their products, it’s so much more interesting than other brands which makes it also look a lot more expensive than it actually is. I’m really into the whole retro / vintage look at the moment! The only thing I didn’t like was the original cardboard packaging for their bronzers and blushers but they have changed them all now so they are much more sturdy and don’t fall apart like mine have!

001Here’s a a selection of the S&G  makeup I own at the moment, minus the archery brow pencil as I forgot to take that out of my makeup bag to add into the flatlay! That just shows that I use it all the time though…

I would say my favourite products from this brand are the solar powder bronzer, the smoulder kohl eyeliner , the archery brow pencil and the gloss sticks. I used the bronzer all the way through the summer to add a glow when I wasn’t wearing blush as one side of the bronzer has a pretty shimmer in it. I tend to swirl my brush around the product and apply to the cheeks and forehead as I think this looks most natural.

The eyeliner is a recent purchase but I felt I was lacking in the eyeliner department so I picked this up as every single review I read for this was really good. I wear eyeliner only on the top lash line so I don’t really need to worry about smudging as I found that usually only happens when I apply eyeliner on my waterline. This does stay all day and it is unbelievably soft; you barely need to touch your eye with it as it glides on so smoothly.

I also think their gloss sticks deserve a mention as these are so good. I think the brand is known for a few stand out products, one of them being their gloss stick in the shade nudist which is a peachy nude that looks so pretty with a smokey eye or very natural makeup.

Soap and Glory’s makeup is all around £10; some is cheaper and some is slightly more but the quality is amazing for a ‘drugstore’ type brand I think.

So, that’s what I think! Have you ever tried anything from the brand and what did you think?

Before December, I had never tried anything soap and glory! But I decided to try there makeup remover (peaches and clean) from a recommendation from a friend and I fell in love! If you want to check what I brought just after Xmas I have a haul for soap and glory 🙂
But the other day I was browsing in boots and I took a look at their makeup and I was so happy. I picked a blusher up and it’s the exact same colours as an Estée Lauder limited edition blush I brought two summer ago which has allllll gone and I could never find it again!

    Love the post 🙂 xx
