Lip Balm Low-Down

Hey guys, this week I thought I would talk to you about my favourite lip balms. The weather here in England is horribly cold and rainy, so it’s time to start taking more care of our lips as they can get very dry this time of year! In the summer I love to wear bold colours, but as the weather turns I start to use more tinted balms and more neutral shades which work well with slightly darker eye makeup looks. Oh I do love a smokey eye in winter! Anyway here are my picks for perfect lips…

My first pick is my favourite of them all and it’s the NUXE reve de miel ultra-nourishing balm. This is an absolute dream to use and keeps your lips luscious all day long. I swear I still have soft lips the next day!

Next up is the Burt’s BeesΒ beeswax lip balm which is so good. It slightly tingles when you put it on which I like because it feels like it’s working! This is very affordable and handy to use out and about as it’s in a stick form.

Another affordable lip treatment is by Carmex.Β I’m sure you have heard of this brand before as it’s pretty well known for being amazing. You can pick this up in any drugstore for barely anything; I even spotted that Primark have started selling these now! This has a waxy texture which coats the lips well and helps to add shine.

Lastly I just wanted to chuck this in as well: it’s the Clarins instant light natural lip perfector. This is quite pricey but I think this is worth it as it has a tint to it as well. This really nourishes your lips and does make them look flawless. So wins all round! I have the shade 01 which is a pretty baby pink shade. I have a swatched this so you can see the actual colour…

Well there you have it: my fave lip balms for winter. I hope this was helpful and gives you some inspiration to crack your lip balms out too! See you next week πŸ™‚

Love myself some Burt’s Bees! This stuff is so amazing, it’s easy to become a chapstick snob after using it for a while. I haven’t tried Clarins before, so I’ll give that a look. Thanks for the info girlfriend, excuse me while I go put on my chapstick now πŸ™‚

Thank you so much for sharing your favourite Lip Balms. I could really need some recommends, since I use to get rather dry lips especially during the winter. πŸ˜™πŸ’—

It’s winter season now and everyone is trying their best to keep their lips moisturized to avoid
the pain of cracked lips. I’ve read a few post giving suggestions on products to use to keep your lips moisturized but none of them had as many options as this post so I thought I’d reblog it πŸ˜€ I personally use burts bee’s and it has been the best thing I have ever tried (however the number of reviews I’ve seen on lip oil’s has me thinking of trying that next). If you have tried carmex or blistex and it just wasn’t working for you (like it wasn’t for me) here’s a few other options to try! Awesome post (once again!) Sunshine and Teacups =)
